October 31st - Halloween!!

A morning of playing and relaxing was ended by a long awaited visit by Maddie and Lee who were going trick-or-treating with us!!  Lee and I have been waiting for this since she found out that she was pregnant!  Speaking of finding out about pregnancies...that ultrasound is from October 31st 2010...this is the first day that I can say that I've seen you three years in a row!

We played and you didn't nap...and then we changed into our costumes.   Lee was...um...lady in black nail polish with cobweb stockings and black lipstick... (a beautiful costume really...), Maddie was a pea in a pod (picture to be added soon)...You were the Itsy Bitsy Spider (because it's your favorite song) and I was your water spout.  We went to J's bar in Narberth and then trick-or-treated there, ending at Alexandra, Mike and Bianca's house!  It was such a nice surprise to see them!  And...being in Lower Merion, we couldn't end the day without going to see Grandmom and Grandmapa!  Happy happy Halloween, Little Man... I couldn't love you more!... (until tomorrow when I'm sure I'll find a way...) I would love it if you un-crankied for more of the day...but...that won't change my love quotient.

PS- I'm pretty sure you were crying in some of the pictures of you and I at G&G's because you were acting out the internal difficulties of the struggle of being knocked down and having to get back up the "spout."  You are so clever... (or maybe you knocked your head against the spigot...)

Those flowers were another neighborhood casualty.  All in all this area got so lucky...that said: we're climbing the walls with boredom.  We took a mood altering shower (even discussed that it was going to change our mood) which actually worked!  Then you played in the mirror for a while - so stinkin cute by the way - and then took a nap.  We woke up to the city cutting down the tree across the street, and you watched for about ten minutes.  You danced along to the "song" that the chainsaw was "playing" and then the guys gave us a piece of the stump!  You danced on that too...

You didn't want me to make dinner, so I decided that you could make some dinner while I did...you made blueberries and mangoes...and fed them to Peabody (unclear if that was her choosing or yours) who said they were delicious... We ate and played with Aunt Beth for a while and stayed up super late!

Tomorrow is Halloween!!

October 29th

Well the storm finally hit land.  It's luckily not nearly as bad in this area as they had expected, but some places around is have been hit pretty badly.  It's been windy here, but there's barely been any rain and the only immediate neighborhood casualty is the tree across the street... We were inside all day anyway though because it's still not really safe to be outside.  We decorated some pumpkins, and painted...played with blocks and animals in your room and watched (probably too much) TV.  I know every word to the few Sesame Street episodes that are On Demand right now.  Every. Word.
