April Showers...

"Please can we play in it Mom?"

"Mom, it's only raining a little bit. Why can't we go outside to play?"

April 27th

Lazy lazy day...all hail the remote!

You understood the plastic cap on the sippy cup more thoroughly today and kept yourself occupied with it for what felt like ages... We napped a bunch and you figured out how to play the triangle with the cymbal and make it sound like you're playing it effectively even though the triangle isn't on a string.  I'm actually not sure how you do it because theoretically it should have to be dangling in order for it to resonate properly.  You also had a rotten night's sleep, so we decided to have you do some spin art.  It'd been a while and it seems your skills have improved.  (Ya know? I actually legitimately like this one...the colors and the lines...)

Oh little man...I leave you for a few hours and come back to you going up and down stairs by yourself!  Sigh...

You had a fun day with G and G.  Lots of learning new things!  They have stairs for the pups to get up onto the bed, and you mastered it!  You took the same route every time you went up too...it's pretty funny to watch.

And also in the 'mommy is amazed by baby' column, you know which books you want me to read.  Books that you've gotten bored with in the past you actually ask me for now.  Unreal man.

April 25th

You mailed your party invitations!  We walked around the office and then hung out in it...where you understood pitchers so well that you put your (my) water bottle inside of it and then drank from it!  You knew the water came from the pitcher!  Genius I tell you...

You went to Punkin's and played with all of your toys and then you turned while walking around on your walking toy!  Like... You turned around!  Blurry pictures capture the concept... Turning man.  Genius.

Couldn't we be the poster for "alternative families digest?"  I love us.

You did a lot of cuting when we got home, and then you fell asleep cuddling my water bottle. Love.
