August 23rd

To the beach!!  Atlantic City!!  For a week vacation with Grandmom! But first a quick trip to West Philly.  Coffee, breakfast, and running around green spaces are important things... Also a day with Brennan and Paula before a trip to the beach is pretty awesome.  You napped on the way to their house, so the whole day was well rested...creating tons of energy for the rest of the day.  Tons.

So.  Quick notes about some of the pictures:

Cat in a box...of little people...Cat conquering people.

The sunflowers are bowing so intensely!

You have full conversations with the cats.  You're frequently bossy with them, but they don't seem too upset about it.

Brennan and you are the best brotherly brothers... *swoon*

We grow amazing veggies...cool looking veggies.

We pack a lot.

You take up a ton of space on beds.

August 22nd

To the beach!  Avalon!  To see Matty!!!  But, first a quick trip to West Philly.  Playgrounds, walks and the perfect no-sugar-added juice are important stuff...

You slept the whole way to the beach.  When you woke up you walked right into the house and made yourself at home.  When the Harmons came home you one by one fell in love with them.  You were particularly enamored with Donny...you didn't care when I left you a thousand times for bonding time with Matty.  God, I love that man something fierce.

We went to the beach and you were not at all scared of the water or the sand.  The Harmons are magic.  I mean, they are in thousands of ways....but this was a particularly welcome one.  We walked the beach and jumped some wavelets...made some epic drip castles (though Matthew says they weren't...we've planned to stay for longer next year and wake up at dawn to start some serious drip castling.  I already miss him, Mister...maybe we'll figure out a way to visit him this year?)

After the beach, we came home to trucks and books and some excellent beach Chinese food.  What an awesome family.  We're so lucky to be included in their worlds...
