May 30th

You were a rock star today...you were so good while I was at work... 

You went to the playground with Punkin and you smiled and laughed and did a lot of people watching. Such handsome men you are...which was even commented about by the way!...

We came home and ate some pizza...you cuted everywhere you were and everything you did.  (Yes.  Cuted.  You are a cutest.  You cute often and today you cuted everywhere...)  

So.  For a while you were making this noise...I couldn't figure out what you were saying...dog? door? "DooooooWA!" Over and over again... Any repeating I did of the sound you were making didn't seem to please you like mirroring you tends to do.  Then I remembered that you were saying "Doh" at G&G's where there's a Do-Re-Mi book...so I started singing the song like the book does it and you were so happy!  Video to follow...

May 29th

Everything that you did today you did like you MEANT it!  You slept and ate enough for two... When you woke up we played with one of your birthday presents; a water table...you LOVED it!  I think it'll be more and more fun as you get older too...

We came inside and sorted shapes, then worked on the computer...then wrote songs...and then we rounded out the evening by playing with Peabody, Buttercup and Wesley on the porch.  It doesn't sound like that much when it's typed out, but it was a really fun and eventful day... You were so proud of yourself when you were putting the shapes in the sorter...and your keyboard sings songs in cat voices sometimes...and when it does you meow responses... (!!!)  (You are so stinkin cute!!!)

May 28th - One Year!!!

You fell right back to sleep after I sang.  I can't believe you're one.  (Well, legally.  Officially at that point you weren't yet one.  You're not officially one until the pictures with you holding the one at the bottom)

We had birthday cuddles, and then Punkin and Paula and Brennan came over!  Punkin somehow got only his legs in one picture... I promise he was there.  We were waiting around the house for Dolly and family to drop off your birthday present, and played in the ball pit until they came.  Dolly gave you a birthday kiss and then Paula Brennan and we were off to the pool!  

You are a water baby if ever I saw one!  You LOVE the water...and had so much fun with all of us in it.  Paula took some great pictures (that we'll be getting at some point soon) of all of your birthday fun.  

After some more picture taking you and I went to G&G's for dinner and ice cream cake!  You don't really like cake, but you LOVE mint chocolate chip ice cream!...and watermelon :)  We played a bit and read a bit before your birth time pictures.  You have started singing "Do- Re- Mi" (not quite that enunciated) which is amazing...oh kiddo I love you I love you I love you!!
