August 29th

I went to take out Peabody and came back into the room to find you holding a giant Cheerios box.  I don't even know where you got it...but I took my cue, we ate some Cheerios and checked out the flowers that you planted which have finally bloomed... You made a bed for Barry - gave him a stuffed animal to cuddle with and two Cheerios.

We went on some errands and then played with the picture functions on the ipad.  My schedule got shifted a bit this week, so we ended up getting to see Papa together!  We also got to see Kellie (who you kept staring at btw...it was really sweet...) and Eden... Eden had never met you!  The last time I saw her you were still just a bump in my belly... We had a lot of fun...we did so many things in so many moods while we were there: relaxing on the swings, practicing our blocking moves as we ran down the sidewalks, struggling as we tried in vain to climb up the slide in shoes, conquering as we climbed up without shoes... you danced with Papa and watched soccer...You wanted to play!

Some day your feet are going to be bigger than mine.  That's so strange.

August 28th - 15 months old!!

You wouldn't let me get dressed this morning...you insisted on being in my shirt...not to eat, but to be close.  You sweet little weird thing...

We went to Target, and the awful cart that's impossible to push seems like it's the best way to go in terms of your happiness.  Noted.

Don't our sunflowers look depressed?  I wonder what's going on with them.  Maybe we should sing to them.

You were really fussy back at home...none of the normal things that help you to regain your composure worked...so I turned on Oklahoma! You were absolutely transfixed...until you fell asleep.  I wonder if that was a one time fluke situation or if I should buy the movie... Honestly, there are a bunch of musicals I'd rather you love...

After falling off of the couch because you were too wildly playing with the pillows (have I yet publicly thanked Papa for teaching you to play with pillows?) we moved some onto the floor so you could play safely.  You sure do love pillows.  So strange.

The fifteen minutes surrounding your birth time were very moody... Not even 15 minutes, I'd say those last few pictures are all within the space of two minutes.  It is not easy to be a toddler...

Happy year and 3 months sweet pea.
