December 26th - Christmas #2

We woke up to a mostly better Kai and a-whole-nother Christmas to celebrate!  Look how giant Padre looks next to Gramma!  From there we really just played all day and night with Uncle Thomas and Uncle Matthew and all our new toys!  You took a nap with Steph while I ran some errands, and when I got home the playing continued... Good food and food company...Arlington is absolutely one of our three favorite Christmases!

December 25th - Christmas #1

Oh you're so sick.  So so so so sick.  You were so sick that I actually got excited when you asked for bubbles.  Nothing stayed in,..we were up pretty late, and every time I started nodding off you'd wake up to throw up some more.  Man, I would take it if I could...Instead though, I'll cuddle with you and know about 3 minutes before you do that you're going to throw up...and hold you at arms length so it doesn't get on me :)

We did finally fall asleep for the night, and I actually thought you were all over it, we started getting ready to go to Paula and Brennan's house for Christmas number 1, but...you threw up again.  You weren't even keeping in the water.  You fell back to sleep.  We waited a little bit longer and you woke up in good enough spirits that we decided to forge ahead with our plans.

You and Brennan got spoiled rotten...Brennan by Santa and us, you by Paula and us...

I'm terrified of every "oh no!" and every whine at this point...but you didn't throw up any more at their house... You did play and have a wonderful time with Brennan and Paula.  I love our Christmas with them.

We drove home to pick up Chloe and pack, and luckily you were sleeping while all of that happened so we could get it done as quickly as was possible.  We headed out and you slept almost the entire way up to Boston!  We were hopeful that you slept through the whole sickness...we got inside and you remembered everyone and everywhere to go and were in good enough spirits that we thought you'd be safe to have solids...false.  We are hopeful, however, that you'll be well enough for Christmas #2 tomorrow!

December 24th

You hung out with at G&G's while I worked, and then I came and hung out for a while too!  Cousin Betsy came over and we hung out with her as well!  The three of us are all such fans of each other...

We came home and you pretended to be a turtle for a while (Mom!  He uses it!) before a very late nap.  We didn't go to church.  We did drop off Aiden though, and also picked up some presents from Steph's place, and went to dinner.  You wouldn't eat anything, it was weird.  We left dinner and decided that our Christmas Eve tradition was going to be dropping off dinner for people who need dinner (when we can find them).  Right after dropping off the last meal, we got back on the highway and you threw up.  Three times.  Oooooh Sir, that's two Christmas Eves in a row!  I hope you feel better so soon!!  I did some research about the things going around right now, and it seems like you'll be throwing up for about 8 hours, and then feel not so great all day after, but be largely better after that.  Here's hoping that's the worst case!
