August 9th

We decided to change up our floor routine, so we used the awesome blanket Aunt Janice gave you. There were so many colors it was like a Where's Waldo book page! We had a brilliant tummy time fail - you weren't having it today... not that you got fussy, but you just stayed there...licking the blanket. So I got all of your stuffed animals down since you LOVE to look at them. It was a successful meeting. You got along much better with Monkey than I thought you would. You seem to prefer Giraffes in general, and while you did a lot of touching Giraffe, you did most of your talking to Monkey.

Mommy was sleeping and was taking the car at noon, so you and I went on errands at 8:30. We went to the post office (your first time outside of my belly), and we went to CVS, and Dunkin Donuts, and then we were going to go to the produce store, but decided to visit Aunt Jackie instead. I can't believe you're 10 weeks old and are just meeting her now! You two are going to hang out a lot I think...you seemed like old friends. You stared at her kitten and talked to her, and Kai? I think she understands you...

Aunt Beth came over and you slept a ton while she was here, but you two hanging out let me clean the house a bit, and talk to the Policewoman who came (your first policewoman meeting) to write up my stolen car (yes. stolen car). She was really nice, and we gave her water and brownies and she talked to you and said you were very handsome. Smart lady.

We hung out on the porch after she left (we had to get a picture of her car...) and spent the majority of the night cuddling with Mama and teddy bears. You seem to really like to cuddle with things - people, security blankets...it's pretty cute.
