We had a late night last night with Punkin...as we can see by the pictures from our night leaking over to today. Have I mentioned how much fun we had? How about how handsome you are?
You and I slept in, and then went to Trader Joe's and got some wine. It's funny how differently people respond to us when we're in supermarkets versus...well...state stores. We were stopped eight times in TJ's so people could talk to you. "Such a beautiful baby!" "Look at how your Mommy looks at you, you're one lucky baby to have someone love you like that!" "That is the happiest baby I've ever seen!" etc... on the way into the state store we got "You better be careful with that baby!" People are so interesting. I can't wait until we can people watch together and actually get to talk about it together instead of me talking to you about them on a blog.
We came home to a visit from Aunt Beth. We lit candles, ate pizza, played with some of your new toys... You're getting so close to crawling. Oh! You had pears tonight for the first time! Wow do you love them! You wanted more than one serving, AND you wanted to lick the jar afterwards. I'm glad we've gotten through the pear allergy test. I'm excited to mix things with them for you!
God...my stationary little man is about to start moving... Pupa to caterpillar...(if I want to be cheesy and inaccurate about it.) Right this second is amazing. I can leave you happily playing on the floor and go and do things like go to the bathroom without fearing that you've fallen over or walked yourself into something you shouldn't be in. I come back into the room and you have such a proud and adorable smile on your face. I suppose I've wanted to freeze you in time before though, and I've been happy with where you were going despite my loathe of letting each phase go. I'm learning a lot of life lessons while watching and helping you grow, Mister. I deeply appreciate your being here. I think the world knew what it was doing bringing us together...
