We likely would have sat around doing largely nothing today had Brooke not called and asked if we wanted to hang out with Carol and Quinn and her. I've been really afraid of the flu! I have to work on that, going out is a lot of fun... So we all met at the Please Touch Museum. My highlights of the day included watching you go down the stairs all alone, watching you go shopping and "buy" only produce and bread (all fresh ingredients!), getting to be one of the three parent's of boys who were playing in the home section...watching you ride the carousel without me holding on to you! You're such a big boy!!
Quinn and you shared very nicely - he a little better than you actually... it's so interesting watching my reaction to your perfectly appropriate behaviors...which ones I'm ok with and which ones bother me. For instance, you not sharing makes me sad...I get sad probably for all of the things that you're ever going to have to negotiate disappointment over...only it's not that, because when you threw ten thousand tantrums I was perfectly fine... Hmm... Anyway, it was really nice to hang out with them, and we so rarely get to see Carol - today was a real treat!
A treat, that is, until we got home and you refused to nap...until you decided to nap the day away... You were OUT at 4:30 and though you moved chairs a few times, and the animals shuffled themselves around with you, you were sleeping until 1AM when you were just ready ready ready to run!... Silly boy. If you could just listen to my advice about napping and eating (and sharing) we'd have such an easier road!... Cutie... Sleep well...
