God today was hard. Peabody has been not very interested in eating this past week, and food is in her top two loves and joys in life...so I made her bacon (because no one says no to bacon...) and she didn't eat that either. I made an appointment at the vet, kind of knowing what would come of it...you took a very long (and really strange) nap - which gave me some good snuggle and love-on time with Poops. When you woke up, Aunt Beth came over to go to the vet with us... We got P's blood drawn, and got her weighed...and you weighed... (you weighed the same actually) we went outside and played a little in the snow, and we played with the toys in the waiting room... You walked Peabody on a leash for the first time..which was adorable... We got the news we were expecting - that she had kidney failure...so rather than let her go home with us and starve herself and ultimately be in a lot of pain, we decided to put her down. Peabody McPooperstein Schulvadia....Poopalicious..."Dahg!" She will be sorely missed...
We came home and had a calm night. You were waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs before you went up...so was Aiden... It was sad...But I can't tell you how thankful I am that you got to meet her, and got to let her in to your routine and to be loved by her...

Okay, so now I'm glad you have her ashes . . .
