You've been waking up early every day for about a month....today you slept in...or would have, had it not been the only day in about a month that I COULDN'T sleep in. Sigh. You were so warm and clean and snuggly...it was so hard to get out of bed - particularly for a dental appointment. We made it work though, and you spent the morning with Grandmapa, watching Sesame Street and being the men of the east coast contingent of our family. Grandmom is going to Florida for the week, so we didn't stay as long as we usually do so that she could pack....
We came home and I was SO EXHAUSTED! You weren't though, so we did some studying...and then you read a bit...and then you napped. I didn't. I worried about not wanting to make dinner, and even begged other people to come over and make something for me, but ultimately decided to cook...and you LOVED it. You ate that whole plate - licked it clean - and had seconds! I'm either a fantastic cook (it was pretty good...) or you're growing.
You keep pulling me in for hugs and kisses...It's so sweet I don't know how to write it effectively. This age is a gift...it's like this tiny little window where you adore me as much as I've been adoring you this whole time...and you're willing to show it - demand it even. Ooooh so good to be your Mama...
The day was rounded out with a game of 'pour the ice back and forth between the cup formerly known as Mama's and the gyro snack bowl.' It was hilarious - the bowl wouldn't let you get the ice out very easily. You sure did get creative though! Aaaaand an early bedtime...for you.
