We woke up pretty late today, and ended up having to cancel our date for Air Zone because of bad road conditions (Joey) and a pretty gnarly head cold (you). Mister, you're always in such good spirits when you have a cold! I wish I could say the same lately!
You and Aunt Vanessa played for a while while Steph and I packed us up. She isn't as around you all of the time like the boys, but you sure lucked out on Aunts and Uncles on this side of the family! I can't believe with three uncles and two aunts that you don't have ANY that live close! Luckily when we do see them you like and love them all enough that it doesn't take much warming up time and it can be as if you see them all the time.
You refused to not be part of the packing the car process. You seem to be really liking the cold...or crunching in the shallow snow that's stuck on the sidewalks. We went back inside and said goodbye to everyone and has some nice long nursing...a good thing, because we were in the car for 7 hours!
You kept yourself busy on the ipad (hi-patt) for a lot of the trip and really wouldn't have complained at all had I been able to read your mind about which fire truck and which garbage truck you wanted. Again, Man, you were much better behaved than I was. I was a grump.
You hadn't really talked about Grandmapa and Grandmom while we were gone, but when we talked to them this morning you were a man on a mission to see them and collect your Aiden. When it became clear that we were going to be late coming home, it didn't matter: you had to get to see them. We arrived around 8:30 and ate dinner and played and played and played... We had a really great trip, but we are also pretty happy to be home. We're so lucky to have places that we love to go and a place we have to come home to that we love...
