I mean, why wouldn't you just pick up a violin for the first time in your life and just play it?...ya know? No big deal. (?!?!) Needless to say, you loved it, and Steph and I were scrambling to make it actually sound like something. Rosin, a bridge, tightening of things...I don't know, we did the best we could, and then convinced you that it'd be working perfectly when you got home from school.
You had a great day at school, we didn't celebrate you though, we're gonna do that on Friday (when Mommy remembers that snacks for kids don't just appear because we want them to). We jumped in a giant puddle (because it rained the entire time you were in school, and stopped raining in time for you to get out and have a world FILLED with puddles...just for your birthday...even mother nature adores you...), and then headed home to a facebook message from an absolutely adoring Papa, and a functioning violin with brand new (to us) quality strings put in the violin by someone who knows what he's doing. We also got a recommendation for a teacher. Mister? You played ALL DAY LONG. You sat and played, you requested shows to play along with, you ran through all of your birthday balloons while playing...You finally pooped out for a nap, but woke up asking where your violin was! Holy Moly!
Aunt Beth came over and sang happy birthday with us and watched you blow out your candles. Steph never had an extra candle for good luck! Weirdo... She will now! You requested to feed the fish, and then we were off to bed. I'm so so so lucky to get to watch you grow up, Man. I love you to pieces!
Happy Happy Birthday, Little Man. I love you more than words would even make sense to come up with...
