October 26th

Let's get better kiddo...day three of sick is making us a little stir-crazy.  Both of us.  The boredom seems to have made you want to crawl though - you sure are trying.  You no longer loathe being on your belly either, every time I turned around for a minute you were flipping over and trying to scoot yourself someplace.

The majority of the day was spent in bed though.  Lots of sleeping for both of us.  And lots of snot.  (Sorry, but it's true.)  It's making you look all glassy-eyed, puffy and sympathy-worthy...

October 25th

We had an official sick day where we stayed in our PJs and watched TV and napped.  You really are amazingly cheerful for someone with a cold.  Maybe your future partners will luck out and not have the stereotypical man with his "man colds."

You've chosen your sick time to also be the time where you start trying to crawl and roll and need TONS of stimulation.  I'm trying to teach you about nesting cups...you're a little more interested in putting them in your mouth than in each other, but you screech whenever they're not in sight.  I guess you like them.

Nap nap play nap nap nap nap play nap sleep.

October 24th

Well sir, you are an amazingly cheery sicky...and you are instinctively doing all of the things that I've been told to have you do; sleep a lot, eat a lot in small amounts... I didn't work today, so we spent the whole day together relaxing, taking care of you, and giving me every single germ that you contain :)  We also went to Target. Twice.  Oh I hope this is a short lived sickness little little.

October 23rd

I sat you in your new high chair - not because you were going to eat anything, but because I could then say "Look at you in your high chair!"

We played outside for a bit, then took a nap, and then played with Dolly and Rosie!  You were the good listener this time around - Rosie was chatty chatty chatty.  She sounds like a kitten next to your low voice.  You two gnawed on each other's hands (so cute.  i'm not sure why this seemed like a good idea to you two, but you loved it) and played in exercisers and were just generally adorable.  Aunt Beth came over and hung out with us for a bit - it had been a LONG time since we'd seen her.

You held my hand!

You went to sleep early but only slept for an hour and a half, you don't seem to be feeling very well.  You have a bit of a fever and woke up sounding all husky and gurgley.  You have your first cold - your first sickness even.  Sorry that my immunity didn't catch this one for you - I'm busy fighting it now though so we can never get this one again.  I love you you hoarse little frog.

October 22nd

What a day!  A 30 picture day!!  We went to a farm with Katie, Melina, Helena, Sydney, Kari and Katelyn.  We took pictures in the hay, and the girls got their faces painted...Then we went to McHale's birthday party where we spent the rest of the day.  You met so many people!  Katie was a champ and kept taking you while you were crying.  She was able to calm you down most of the time too - even got you to fall asleep!  MJ and Erin also had you nice and calm while I spent some adult time outside.  I wish that you weren't so uncomfortable (teething) but we really are having some fantastic times in the world.
