December 17th

We had a long fun day with Dolly and Rosie.  We went to the mall and got to see Brennan on his birthday!!  He was six years old today.  You two are such buddies.  You still give him the best smiles...and I am still terrible at catching them on camera.  Meg held you and you were so much happier about it this time than your last meeting!  You gave her great smiles too...It was so good to see them.  Once someone is in your heart they're always there...some people are better than others at holding that truth, but you (and our whole little mall lobby party actually) are looking like one of the ones that never forgets.  It can be a hard way to be, but I promise you'll like yourself more for it.

From the mall lobby, Dolly, Rosie, you and I went and got ice-cream and then down to the car...where I realized that I didn't have my phone.  Kai, when I tell you how close to melting down I was.... A bunch of internal chaos later, Dolly called it, and someone answered.  "Do you have Carly's phone?"  Dolly said.  Someone had found and turned in my phone to Mall Security.  Let's hope that your luck runs that way too little man...returns of phones never happen...(except about twenty minutes down the road the same thing was happening to Paula.  So strange...and SO lucky.)

So, we were back on our way...with phone in tow.  We went to Macy's, and then to Babies R Us.  We hadn't really eaten much (we the adults) so deciding what to eat took about an hour...we were FAMISHED by the time we got to the restaurant.  Rosie was so cute watching Dolly's spaghetti disappear... You flirted with a bunch of waitresses... Dolly and Rosie were so pooped by the time we were done, and you were UP!  We played a little more when we got home and then finally you were out.

Mommy forgot to tell you that it was Grandmom who suggested to the nice man who found your phone and called me to turn the phone into mall security. He just wanted to wait by J.C. Penney for someone to pick it up. Anyway, I'm so glad it's back in your mama's hands!
