Big day, Man!! You and Peabody and I got in the car bright and early and drove down to Delaware to meet a puppy we were thinking of adding to the family. I had been playing with the idea for a few months and not telling you about it (because you wouldn't understand and) because I was trying to assess the level of crazy the house can be dialed up to without making your mama lose her mind. I really wanted Peabody to have a dog around to teach her Peabodyness to, and love the idea of you growing up with a pup... So, we went into the house where he was being (unbelievably lovingly) fostered and everybody was so calm! Peabody wasn't agitated at all, you seemed largely disinterested (Christmas decorations fascinate you) and Aiden was just so sweet and gentle and adorable...truth be told I think the underbite was the cherry on the amazing -dog-find sundae... So...we brought him home. :) welcome to the family Aiden!!!
We went straight to Aunt Beth's shop so she could watch you and the dogs while I got Aiden some necessities...and a sweater.
The rest of the day was spent playing and cuddling and getting to know one another. All was sweet and calm and largely unremarkable!...like this has always been our life... If you remember though, your first night with us, you were pretty calm and quiet and unchaotic too... Let's hope this keeps up! If it does though, if this is his personality and not just fear cause he's in a new place, we're gonna train him to be a therapy dog. You and he would make a beautiful advertisement for the merits of bully breeds!
Happy first night of Channukah Shmush...
(the pictures are terribly out of order...I wish blogspot would fix that on the app. boo.)
