So, as it turned out...you had nothing. Grandmom's theory is gas. I'm gonna buy her theory because if it wasn't gas, then you have something we don't know about...or that was a tantrum. I refuse to believe that that level of hysteria was caused by anything other than distress of some kind. In any case, you seem to feeling much better (than that anyway) and are back to just having a rotten cold. I'll take it.

November 30th
Oh sick. Sick sick sick. I mean, there was building and merriment, don't get me wrong...but you had a screaming crying writhing jag also, and were so inconsolable - which you never are - that I ended up taking you to the ER. When we got there you were in about the highest spirits I've ever seen you in. Stinker. So...we waited to be seen anyway. I was pretty sure that it was an ear infection and that the Advil I'd given you had just kicked in as we were approaching the waiting room. After your dance we got called in to triage where we had a (moronic) nurse who kept believing that she was going to be great with you (you had fully stopped crying and whining about twenty minutes before seeing her...) but was very very wrong. When she was talking to me you were dancing around the room and playing drums on the trashcans. The nurse asked what brought us in and I said "he was inconsolable for about 40 minutes when I put him in the car. Crying hysterically, having a fit he couldn't seem to get out of." The nurse said "is he having a fit right now?" I wanted to hit her. Instead I just looked at her and blinked really loudly...so loudly that I imagine if you're really quiet as you read this you'll still be able to hear the echoes...
