It's Mother's Day! Your main present was letting me sleep in! (9, but I'll take it!)
We did our yearly hand prints (which are messier this year than last, but I've been convinced to not try to make them perfect since you're a toddler and it's representative of your development), played on the porch for a while before coming inside and having a mommy and me photo shoot on the couch. You were refusing to sleep, so after waiting around to try and have it happen, we decided to go to G&G's house early (I had to work - poor planning...). You and Grandmom went to a playground in the city, and I met you guys there. That place is pretty cool! You climbed mountains and met lots of nice kids... The playground did a great job of making you sleepy. You napped for a while in the car, and then actually came inside and napped again! (I got in on that one...)
We had Chinese for dinner, and you enjoyed your first bowl of hot and sour soup...and LOVED your lo mein! After dinner you had some quality playing time with Grandmom and Grandmapa. Well, you did more playing with Grandmom and more cuddling and talking with Grandmapa. I love seeing you love them so much! You go back and forth between them (seemingly) making sure that each of them gets equal amounts of lovin' and attention. You're so stinkin' sweet. I know that all the moms in the world say things like this on mother's day, but clearly I'm more correct than they are: I'm the luckiest mama in the world for getting to be your mom. I love you sweet pea.
