We have been following the story of a little boy named Liam Lyon daily for about a year now. He was born with only half of a heart and we've read about his many surgeries and struggles...hundreds of thousands of people learned of his story on Facebook and have been praying together, following his story and sharing his ups and downs... He "earned his wings" last night. We joined in a day of wearing red in his honor today, and will likely do the same on the day of his memorial. If anyone wants to read about Liam, his facebook page is still up: search 'I Love Liam Lyon' Also, a star was named after him in the Pegasus constellation. https://stars.osr.org/PSM658505#.UEgu2tZlRp6 is the link to visit his star online (or learn how to find it in the sky.)
It seems a bit strange posting and writing about the minutiae of our day today...maybe today we can let the pictures be enough. If Liam's story has taught us anything it's to live and appreciate every moment, right?...
