We started the day with speech, and then finished our Lego castle. We're doing social experimenting. While I'm sure that you're going to roll your eyes at me at some point in the future for my analysis of gender and society, for now, you're reaping the benefits of both "boy" and "girl" toys. The "boy" toys, though exciting at first and fun to look at tend not to be all that easy to play with (once the weapons are taken out anyway. you're pretty much left with an empty castle and a bunch of people that can walk around it if they want to...but they have nothing to do.) so you're actually rather enjoying the "girl" one. It's decorated with plenty of flowers and comes complete with bathroom and pets, doors to open that contain trunks of jewels. I'm collecting information so I can write a scathing letter to someone about the differences - the truly unfair differences - between the Lego types. That letter will accomplish nothing. Good times. Interesting to note though, you take the hair off of all of the girls. Heh...I love you.
Nick, Steph, you and I went to dinner to celebrate Steph knowing us for 6 months (and Nick being here...we love him, we're sad he's going home.)! She got you a necklace that has the coordinates of the park that we met at, and the date. How friggin' sweet is she? We lucked out, Mister Man...
After an absolutely amazing dinner at The Avenue Deli in Landsdown (readers, go there...seriously...), we came home and hung out with Nick a little before going to bed and sending him off. We're gonna plan a trip this summer hopefully. It sucks to have so many people we love be so far away! An alternate view, I suppose, is that we sure do have a lot of the map covered with people we love! Let's go see them and the world, shall we?
