More life lessons, Little... You can choose how you handle information. It doesn't always seem like you can, but you can. You can be pretty profoundly let down and sad...and still gracefully face those feelings dead on...walk right on through them and enjoy/be present for all of the other parts of your life. More than one thing can be, and usually is, true at the same time. That one took forEVER for me to learn... Hopefully we're good and passing that one on. You don't have to ignore the bad for the good to exist...and in that vein...
Um. We have a wedding tomorrow!...
We headed over to G&G's house to put all of the trees into burlap bags and label them. I'm not quite sure how we thought it was going to be an easy or quick task... About 17 hours (and a whole lot of ridiculously adorable Rosie/Kai play time) later, you, Steph and I went to meet Grandmom, Nana, Aunt Vanessa, Julia and Lauren at the nail salon. Somewhere back in time...roughly Mid-September of 2011, I dropped you off with a stranger at a nail salon... This was that nail salon! They've changed locations, but all the same people are there as have been since I started going there about 14 years ago. They're so wonderful to be around. You and I got one nail for each of my bridesmaids, and ended up with beautiful and matching manicures. (You wouldn't let me take a picture of your nails though.) You helped Inger with my massage and pedi...Truly, you were excellent. You've got a job waiting there for you if you want it, I'm sure...
No nap means a very sleepy Kai by the time we got home. It was torture to have to wake you... You transferred pretty well though. Sweet dreams, Little Man...big day tomorrow!
