April 12th

Today Yanira did have to go to work, so you and I had some big plans to go out and about in Boston... We stayed up after her 6:45 exit of the apartment, and you counted goldfish and played on the computer while I figured out what we should go and do.  I had just decided on the Boston Children's museum (a lot like the Please Touch Museum in Philly) when you fell asleep.  You fell asleep hard.  You slept for about four and a half hours...effectively leaving us enough time to take a bath before Yanira's return home.  It was a good bath though...almost exactly the same as a trip to a museum really....

You and Yanira did some good racing when she got in... She counts in Spanish, and you seem to know exactly what to do and when in spite of the different words being used.  It's pretty cool to watch.

We all went to Brian's house in Boston where you watched Frances (three times) and we ate a delicious meal. You LOVED it.  You got upset any time anyone went anywhere near your (or my) fork.  I love that you have such snobby food taste.  It bodes well for our culinary future that you're a foodie.  It also bodes well for our future in general that you have such good taste in people!  You and Yanira played for a while and she taught you some pillow-drum rhythms which you copied beautifully... She does really cool parenty things with you...like...thinking to put on your shoes before you go onto roof decks... I suppose it's nice to have someone more standardly responsible around :)  (For the record, she is also the one that decided that you should be wearing a hoodie on top of your shirt, and...it was a good decision.  Sigh.)

You seem to sift through people very well.  You make some work harder for your affection than others, but you seem to let the same people "in" as I do.... Oh, I don't know how to explain that on here... It is, though, another very cool thing to watch.  I wonder where that comes from, if it's instinct in you or if you're reading something in me.... Aaaaaanyway, we had a lovely evening.  Let's hope geography doesn't keep us from hanging out with Brian more!
