August 15th

We were on our way to Grandmom and Grandmapa's when I decided that we should go back for the dog...so we were on our way back to our house to go get the dog...when I decided that we should stop and see if Alison was around.  She wasn't really...but her sister Moriah was!  And we also got to see Seniah and Shawn!  You LOVE Shawn!  I wish that we'd gotten ourselves together to hang out more with them this summer while they were here...but...they're back to DC any day now.  Bummer.

Shawn took care of you while I spent a few minutes with Alison.  THEN we went to pick up the dog, and then to G&G's for lunch with Betsy and Leah...who've not yet sent the pictures of everyone together yet.  

I went on a few errands, and came back to you and Grandmapa being...you and Grandmapa.  You fell asleep on the ride home.  I got out of the car and almost stepped on a praying mantis!  The cats were outside, so I walked the mantis across the street...Very very slowly.  When it was safe in the weeds, I brought you inside where you continued to sleep for four hours!  I had to wake you up, actually, to put you back into the car so we could pick up some hand me down toys from a friend.  We got home and spread all the toys all over the place and made just an absolutely horrific mess...then left it there and went to bed.  Heh.  I wonder how many readers that will make twitch...

You came up to bed and put on a good "I'm totally awake!" face, but didn't last long.  Of course it was already around eleven when this happened!....
