I had trouble falling asleep. I'm unclear about why. Any ideas?
We played a bit waiting for Terry and Ezra to come over. We were planning on going to the woods, but I was so so sleepy...there wasn't enough coffee in the world. You and Ezra played and screamed and laughed...and then Terry convinced me to head to the woods. You're not easy in the woods. I think I'm going to have to work on my going with you and just letting you lead. Other people can't be with us though I think. You wander off and it's like once you're in the woods you're just incapable of hearing my saying no. Forrest inspired free spirit, Little...You're lucky you're cute.
We ended up at the river (at the creek like spots) and you wanted so desperately to be swimming in there that I almost lost it...eventually you let me bring you back to the part you can reliably stand it and I reminded you how much you love throwing rocks. I was so relieved that you weren't trying to go into the "deep end" that I didn't even care about the little creatures in there that you must've been startling in the water. Phew.
We came home and would have napped, but I couldn't stomach you sleeping another 3-4 hour nap in the car...so I transferred you into the house, and you woke up after a little. Monica, a friend of mine from what feels like a GOOD three or four lives ago came over and we reconnected while you played in the toy pit that is our living room at present.
When she left, you played with the pieces of the foam puzzle...pretending to eat something off of it... You're such a silly...
