September 12th

The majority of our day was taken up by an art project.  The concept for the art project was that I thought it'd look cool to have one painting (the way I thought you'd see the squares when pieced together) broken up into 9.  Paint and toddlers.  I don't know how I didn't realize where it was going to end up.  Eventually, when you were only painting on one of the squares for long enough that I realized I was going to have to give up on my idea, I let go of everything I was imagining and got you some trucks and blocks to play with however you want.  You had so much fun with the cars and the trains and the paint!  It devolved further to finger painting, and essentially turned into a giant purple muddy mess (of wonderful talent and creativity) with a paint brush and a truck painted right on in to it.  Two and a half hours you stayed focused on one activity!

We rounded out the day with music and naps and reading.  You won't let me get the paint off of you, Cutie...You're such an adorable little mess...
