You're killin' me, Kid. We pull into the parking lot at school and you started saying no. OK, maybe it was a fluke, you seemed fine when I got you out of the car and as we went into the building... We walked into your class and you started muttering no kinda quietly, until your teachers started saying hello to you...you switched to loudly saying "outside! outside!" and pointing to the door. We went outside of the class and waited for Miss Terry to come and help us out, and though you wouldn't let her interact with you, you were OK with her being there. We talked about you going in and you started the 'nos' again...and started crying, begging to nurse...We did that, then I said goodbye as you screamed and cried and went into class. I waited outside of the classroom again, poking my phone into the window of the door so it could see you and you couldn't see me. About 3 minutes later circle time started, and within a minute of that you were calm enough that I felt alright leaving. I'm getting teary just thinking about it. I called at 10:30 and you were doing just fine, not loving transitions from one place to another, but once you get settled someplace, you have a good time.
You, Stinker, were perfectly content standing there in your bookbag waiting for me to come and get you, and when you saw me you started crying with this look on your face that said "I haven't stopped crying at all today, Mommy...not for one moment!" Sigh.
We headed home and did nothing all that special with the rest of our day...but we were so happy to be doing it together! We watched Annie three times! You've got great taste in movies...mostly.
